Rowan Bain is curator at the William Morris Gallery and Vestry House Museum and lead curator of the ‘Be Magnificent. Walthamstow School of Art 1957-1967’ exhibition (2017). She is also author of the Be Magnificent catalogue and co-author of the forthcoming publication May Morris. Arts and Crafts Designer (2017).

Her research interests include the history of fashion and textiles. Bain, lead curator, introduces the key works in the exhibition. Revealing the early artistic output of the seminal artists and designers who taught and studied at the School of Art and showing how they went on to influence cultural change.
