Celebrating Waltham Forest’s creative and cultural communities, this free annual event sees two days of music, crafts, food and family activity delivered in partnership with local organisations. The Be Magnificent Craft Marquee is a celebration of regional designers/makers drawn together in a programme supported by independent estate agents, The Stow Brothers.
Presented outside the gallery on the lawns during the Walthamstow Garden Party, children and adults can try their hand at ceramics, embroidery, textile design, woodwork, printmaking and more. In 2017, the programme includes demos and activities from:

Dash ‘N Dem: Cool Britannia 2.0
Create an interactive Cool Britannia avatar, which will allow audiences to create their own version of the song and perform it using face rigging and voice synthesiser technology. Inside the William Morris Gallery!
Inky Cuttlefish: POP Art printing
Participants will get to print multi-coloured photo-etchings inspired by Pop Art onto a cotton tote bag using a traditional etching press.

Scribble & Smudge: Everyone’s a spinner baby!
Spin the decks and make an album cover like 60’s pop artist Peter Blake. A free workshop for all ages. All children must be accompanied.
Turning Earth: Pottery in the Park
Join potters from local ceramics makerspace Turning Earth for a 45-minute workshop.

Yanire Sylva: Pottery & Patterns
Applying traditional pottery techniques you will create and design a ceramic dish out of air dry clay decorated with the beautiful pattern designs, inspired by Celia Birtwell.
